The post

We are considering an extended drawbar and installing a 3kva Honda remote start on the drawbar under an aluminum cover with mesh grills for exhaust and air intake.

I have looked at the installation inside the storage locker with a bracket and it seems to me that you eliminate the ability to use that side for other storage, you open the van to dust and dirt entering from that side unless the cavity is sealed, depending upon the weather you are either taking the genny out or quickly putting it away.

We currently have a 3kva remote start and once we setup camp somewhere, e.g., the Gympie muster, all we do in the morning is push a button and instant 240 and the battery charger is in operation.

Those that have a genny on a bracket in the storage compartment, what if any problems have you encountered; would you do it again?

Thanks,
