Information: LED Internal Lights 2009
Experimental Fluoro Lighy Alternative
Over the table, I installed a 96LED square Ceiling light (BIAS Boating Cat. No. 7281 $149 draws only 630mA, 9 watts...super bright and has a blue night light feature.
Over the bed, I used a 21LED round cabin light, ( Whitworths Cat. 49381 $39.95), the same light as I used in the bathroom. Over the sink and rear bench I used the 30LED swivel strip lights (BIAS Cat 7271 $59.90)....have since seen them in the Whitworths catalogue for $39.90 Cat 49500N).
The two bed-head reading lights are 9LED (Whitworths Cat 49354 $29.95) and they have a switch on the base, which means you can't accidently switch the light on with your elbow halfway through the night. For the awning, I replaced the bulb with bayonet mast head LED globe, and put a reflector behind it, directing more light towards the ground.
I've found the pricing is all over the place at the moment, so you should shop around and bargain.
I had to make bases for the strip lights and the square table light to install them without cutting holes in the ceiling.

The Bushtracker Owners Group was conceived by our current President Bob Pollock, AKA “Turist” late in 2002 after speaking with other Bushtracker owners in various campsites around this great country.
Bob saw a need for a facility where owners of Bushtracker vans could swap information about all things Bushtracker and together with our current Vice President Pete Spring, AKA “Motley” opened our first website on a public MSN forum in February 2003.
The Bushtracker Owners Group is completely independent of Bushtracker International. Whilst we retain connections with the factory, we believe that it is in the best interests of our members to operate as an independent organisation.
The first official rally of the Bushtracker Owners Group was held at Cania Gorge, Qld in September 2003.
Membership of the Group grew rapidly and we decided to form a legal entity so the Bushtracker Owners Group became a registered non profit association in August 2004.
The Bushtracker Owners Group is entirely a member owned entity.
We operate as a not-for-profit organisation and the members of the Committee are volunteers. They do not receive any financial compensation for the time that they commit to their duties on behalf of the Association.
Our charter records the fact that we are a not-for-profit organisation and goes further to explain that, from time to time, the Committee will determine that any funds deemed to be in excess of the requirements for operation of the Association will be donated to the Royal Flying Doctor Service, an organisation which we believe offers a service which is of vital importance to our members. In 2006, we made our first donation to the RFDS of $5,000.
Our website and activities are paid for by member subscriptions, sponsor assistance and fund raising activities.
We held our first Annual General Meeting and Election of Officers at Copeton Dam NSW in September 2004.
Our current website was opened in September 2004.
