MEG & Capt Norty

Boggers were treated to the Spit Roast Dinner last night. Thanks to Tassie Pete and his band of helpers. Not only cooking, serving but the mammoth wash-up afterwards. Back in the pavilion, the ladies were decorating their tables in the colour of RED and theme of STRIPES. A great night.

This morning started off with the ladies and Craft Morning. They were working on rugs to donate to Nursing facilities. The colourful array of rugs was impressive, and each one had a BOG logo patch sewn thereon.

Stephen Ringe - photographer extraordinaire - conducted an information session on how to get the best from you camera. 11am Sue Batson, the Camp Oven Queen - gave a demonstration on creating successful camp oven goodies. Then the eager band of cooks began their camp oven entries. 1.00 pm was a workshop with a local ambulance officer to demonstrate the defibrillator (which BOG will be donating to the town of Streaky Bay).

Sharon Anderson of the Streaky Bay CWA graciously conducted the judging on the camp oven cook-off, and the winners were presented with their rosettes. Afterwards Boggers were able to sample the offerings - which were absolutely delicious, even Tassie Pete's fruit damper which was not quite cooked in the centre, but I thought that made it more delicious.

After the 4.30 friendship gathering around the campfire, Boggers will make their way back to their BTs for dinner, then come back to the pavilion for TRIVIA NIGHT presented by Ian and Julie Edenborough - but more about that and photos tomorrow.
