 A tufted perennial herb. The leaves are about 70 cm long, flat with a keeled underside, 2–5 mm wide.The flower stalk is about 80 cm long but can reach up to 175 cm. The inflorescence is a loose raceme, with 2–20 bell shaped flowers. Flowers vary from wholly yellow to orange or red with yellow lobes. Grows in damp sandy and/or peaty soils in coastal and tableland areas; north from the Hawkesbury R. area, to southern Qld and inland to Glen Innes district.&lt;br /&gt;
