Photo by Graeme W. Pink enamel orchid Elythranthera emarginata is much bigger than the purple Enamel Orchid and there is also a named hybrid. The second photo was taken in late November so may even be a hybrid. Found all over the south west.

Purple Enamel Orchid

Glossy petals look almost artificial. Photographs reveal muted spots on the petals. Found either singly or in spreading colonies in coastal heath and winter-wet sites.
