We have ours fully insured with CIL and after having to make a major claim with them, we cannot recommend them more highly. They were excellent and by far the best insurance group that we have ever had to deal with when making a claim. About a month after having van repaired they rang to make sure everything was fixed properly and the small items that we wrong he told me to take it to Bushtracker, have them fixed and send the account to CIL.

Brian, with CIL do you have to have a home? I have heard of that being a problem for some people, and we wont have a permanent home. Angie

We live in Victoria.Bushtracker's advice is register the van in Qld to a Qld address (which I have - our company has an office in Brisbane) and then re-register in Victoria. This means that our tow vehicle is registered in Victoria and the van in Qld. Has anyone had any problems with this from a point of view of an accident claim? I am thinking of Thirdy Party Accident Claim etc?

Thanks brian and motley for the info. hubby seems to think that CIL doesn't need a permanent home address but will contact them a little closer to the time of van pick-up. As far as the registration goes, Steve also mentioned to us that there were advantages to registering in Qld and as we dont have the permanent home, it is no bother to us. The second part of my question related to van security. Anyone got any ideas they would like to share on this? Angie
