VDC, ie Vehicle Developement Corporation is a private company that
imports and converts F series.
This recall would apply to vehicles imported and converted by VDC.
Owners of F250/350 supplied by Ford Aust, made in Brazil not affected.
(I hope)

Problems have been noticed in converted trucks and cars for as long as they have been coming to Oz. This recall involves the steering according to the blurb .... could be anything from a steering box shaft nut coming loose, because of not applying enough torque to tighten, to a forged arm or shaft having a stress riser after being reworked.

The only recall I'm aware of for our F- trucks is the Hydro Brake Booster Accumulator "O" ring it can leak. The brake hydro booster in F's derive pressure from the power steering pump. The problem was only in a small VIN range. My F-250 was in the range and Ford didnt muck around they replaced the whole booster ..... took about an hour.

If you are the original owner at the original address you would have rec'd a letter if in the applicable VIN range. If not call Ford Aust and ask them to check by quoting the VIN to them.
