I have been in touch with Auto Alliance in Sydney. They are importers of the Rancho shocks and steering dampers into Australia. After waiting six months for them to sort out model numbers and shaft lengths etc they have the full range for our F250s.

As most are aware there is a factory off road pack for F Trucks in the USA called FX4. Amongst other things it uses Rancho stuff all round. The rancho RS9000 shock is adjustable in its dampening by a knob on top of shock that has 9 positions. From position 1 to 9 there is 700% increase in dampening so you can tune the shock to the load onboard.
The rear of my truck seems fine to me but the front can be a bit bouncy with the BT on and needs more dampening. The shock can be run at say 4 or 5 normally and then with BT on turned up to 7 or 8 to increase dampening. They are about $200 each delivered.

Our trucks also have a bracket already on the front diff to accept a steering damper and these are available from them also for $198 delivered. These dampers will help control bump steer on dirt roads. It comes as a complete kit ready to install with pin for diff bracket and bracket for drag link. When I get mine I'll fit it and list any problem with installation not that there should be any ! I'll fit RS9000 shocks on front at a later date.
I have had Rancho shocks on Cindy's Defender for 4 years and they are great. I run them hardish on the highway and down on 1 or 2 in the sand or mud.

Their number is 02 98993989 or have a gander at www.rancho.com.au
