Fear not, Angie. We, the great unwashed and BT-less are still hangin' around.

Angie, Angie. It's OK. We'll keep you company. (Hi Kiwi! Are we still on for the Port-a-bote experiment when the whether warms up a tad? If we don't tell anyone, they won't find out our guilty secret.) Regs Griff

Angie/Kiwi/Griff Some of the unfortunate are still around and subject to that dirty four letter word - "work". Ah well, maybe next year. Regards Jeff

Angie

Is it true that your calendar is marked up in years BT (instead of AD) as a date scale?

Griff,
I forget what it was, but somebody made a comment about the folding boats that put me off. I thought you'd dropped it too. I think I also wondered out loud about the potential archilles heel of whatever is used to hinge/seal the sections. No matter what it is made from, UV and wear/tear might suggest that the faithfull old tinny may be the way to go. Still kickin' tyres.....

hi guys, thanks for keeping me sane. gotta have my daily dose of BT talk. collyn, we have a count down on our desktop that someone from another forum sent us. now that we have bought our coming home tickets we have adjust the date to give us a VERY accurate reading of how many days, hours, minutes, seconds and total seconds left to go. sometimes i feel like my life is just whizzing by. but getting very excited over the adventures waiting for us back in good old oz? absolutely! angie

Nah, Kiwi, I don't drop anything until I am satisfied that its a dead end. All that happened is that it was made clear that certain lines of investigation are taboo subjects. All THAT means is that I carry on as usual, with lots of interesting stuff that I no longer talk about. Unfortunate, really cause I would have liked more input/opinions. Some are commenting that the site is getting very negative. I must have blinked, cause I haven't noticed. In fact, I like and expect robust, non-personal opinion (preferably supported by fact, experience or testing - not unsupported), but I understand some people's sensibilities don't stretch to that, so we must be generous and try to maintain an environment that is comfortable for everyone, hopefully with enough balance to still be useful to those of us wishing to make informed choices about the huge gobs of money we are handing over.
