Hello All BOGers, Just a short note to let you know that we have just joined after coming across this site yesterday. We also passed it onto friends Pete and Mary who have also joined under member Tassietracker1. We are a family of 5 (Rod and Dominique) and Patrick 3, Hamish 1, Alexander 1. We live in Hobart Tasmania and take delivery of our 21' tracker in April 2004. Our Tow vehicle is an F250 2003 model Dual Cab with front and rear diff locks, snorkel, ARB bar with 1500lb warn, also a full DVD stereo package to keep the little ones happy when we start travelling. This is a great members area and all the info is helping us make final decisions on our van and car and exactly what we will need. So far in two days we have spent over 3 hours going over a lot of the info contained within this members area. No Doubt we will be asking a lot more questions in the next few months. Regarsd Rod and Dom

Hi Rod and Dom, Pete and Mary. Ivan and I sold our house in Moonah, Hobart before coming over here to London for a 3 year contract. Due to pick up our Bushtracker in August 2004 (still seems a long way off). We plan to do 12 months in Tassie in the BT when we get back. Have family in Hobart, Deloraine and Devonport but never really got to see much of Tassie as we would always go from A to B. So plan to do some great bush camping. Having fitted a Webasto heater to cope with the Taswegian weather. We are getting an Effie too next year. 2004 model with canopy, bullbar, navigation aids etc to help us pull our 20footer. Welcome to the Bogger forum. Lots of lovely people with some great adventures and advice to share. Glad you all found us. Angie

Hello to all you Tassie Bushtracker people! Welcome to the fold! We too were living in Tassie until 12 months ago. We had a small business in Mole Creek, and had planned for about 4 years to leave and travel in our very own BT. Once out on the road, we made tracks to BTi and ordered our van , before heading out to the Rock for work. The plan is to pick up our 18 footer in March and start the great trek around Oz. During the course of our day we see lots of caravanners and it's always a treat to see the Bushtrackers rolling on in ! My partner can't help himself and has to go and have a natter to the owners each time he sees one pull in somewhere around the resort. It's great to be able to compare notes and also we are finding that this site is absolutely invaluable for advice and hints from those who alreadly have their vans. Just wish we could have been at Cania! Never mind...all that is coming up soon for us. Just another 7 months..............

Hi and thank you for your welcome. We have owned our BT for 3+ years and still do a lot our off road, beach and bush camping in Tas. Definately do not need a heater even in the middle of our winters!!! We hope to get to the Big Island for an extended trip with the BT again next year so hope we may catch up with some other owners. When you know you movements to Tas, let us know and we might well arrange to catch up then. Cheers. Peter S
