This is reposted from messages area to keep it accessible .....from Turist The voting is showing a trend towards Copeton Dam so I have taken steps to reserve our area.
Maybe a little premature but as some members require a school holiday booking best to step in now to avoid possible dissapointment. (Any arrangement can be cancelled)
The site is reserved from Sat. September 18th.
You may arrive earlier if you wish.
The cost for a powered site for 1 van, 2 people is $90.00 for 7 nights.

An area within Copeton Waters State Park called "Copeton Bay" has sufficient power for around 50 vans and this is reserved for the Boggers..
This area is about 2 kl inside the park and away from the day use area, reception area etc. There is a small kids play area with swings etc.
Toilets and showers are nearby.
The power poles are at random spacings well apart from each other so the area will not appear regimented as with a van park.
Bush camping is available nearby for those who prefer it that way.
The staff will allow a group campfire (similar to Cania) as well as the individual fireplaces.

The following web site will give you further info.
http://www.stateparks.nsw.gov.au/copeton.html

The telephone number for bookings is 02 6723 6269
As with Cania, please phone and make your own booking.
Tell the staff that you are with the Bushtracker Owners Group when booking.

So this should get things moving. Please do not leave your booking till the last minute.
To totally reserve this area in a school holiday period we need substantial bookings by end June 2004.

Regards
Turist
PS. Please post a message here when you have made your booking
