Hi Boggers Well, tomorrow afternoon we'll round up the boys and head off to Devonport to catch the boat to Melbourne. Once we arrive it will be straight around to meet our BT for the first time at the Melbourne Caravan Show. We think we have gathered everything we will need for the inaugural trip and have read past posts from Anthony and of course checked off the "On the Wallaby" checklist too! It will be great to meet up with some fellow Boggers at the show, some of whom will also be attending the rally at Copeton in September. Gadget-1, deaf nomads, tgintl, swanwood and rockgoc have all indicated they will be there. Any other Boggers who will be around, we are meeting at 10am at the BTi exhibit this Saturday 03 April 04. Can't believe it is finally our turn to pick up our van after months of reading others joy and trepidation of hand-over and pick-up! We will be leaving Melbourne on Tuesday for a two week trip through Bendigo, along the Murray, Broken Hill, Cameron Corner and who knows from there. Head back over Bass Strait on Anzac Day. Thanks to Angie for the good wishes from London. Rod, Dominique and the boys

L&J, A couple of quick questions .... What vehicle are you towing with ? If possible measure the width of the A-frame at the front of the the a-frame plate ? Coupling type on the BT ? 100mm chassis or 150mm ?? Regards Anthony Explore this Great Land ...Do it Easy ...Tow a

Anthony, At the Melbourne Show the Hayman Reese people that own Trail Boss that imports the Reese from the states said that their standard fix for the Reese/AT35 problem is a 20 mm spacer. tgintl/jay

Jay, As I said the only AT35 you can use a spacer with is the Gen 2, as it allows you to lengthen the thread length of the attachment stud because it has a drilled hole for (and uses) a 3/4" bolt. You then use bolt in reverse as the coupling will accept nut end not lengthened stud . I'm puzzled as to how they can fit a 20mm spacer under it and still have enough thread length to allow nut/lock washer to gone on .... ??? Spacer = 20mm, Reese head collar = 25mm, Lock washer = 7mm, AT35 nut = 25mm, total 77mm. Thread length is approx 65mm. The spacer only needs to be about 14mm and you could use a 3/4" unc nyloc nut to eliminate the lock washer ...gaining you the extra thread length ...just (maybe) !! The nyloc nut might be wider though because of its half donut area having to hold the nylon. Regards Anthony Explore this Great Land ...Do it Easy ...Tow a
