Hi all,
We are going OS for six months in the 2nd half of 2005 and I'm wondering about the best options for storing BT while we are gone. I assume that it should be stored outside in order for batteries to be able to charge??? Anyone had to do this and can give me some suggestions/cautions I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks Prue

Why not ask Steve at BTi if there are any special requirements for the electrical system when left for 6 months.

If it is possible to store under cover then that would be best for the van. Ours is stored under a lasor-lite roof that prtects it from the elements and allows sufficient light onto the solar panels to keep the batteries fully charged with the need for the battery charger.

Prior to Copeton, our van was in an off site storgae facility for over 6 months. We left the 4 seasons hatch slightly open and also a couple of windows. We left the fridge running and just relied on the solar system to keep topping up the batteries.

That's all we did and everything was fine.
