Hi everyone,
Hope you all had a great Xmas and New Year.
While we were down south we met up with a couple from the Alice who were "practising for full-time retirement", he passed on a little tip that I thought was pretty nifty.
We all pack our BTs with the necessities but quite often things tend to stay in the van and other things get added until pretty soon you have lots more than is needed. This gentleman's tip is to place a coloured sticky dot on every single item you have in the van, then as yu use the item remove the sticky dot. As time goes by (6mths?) if you find items that still have sticky dots get rid of them. You haven't used it so it is probably just taking up valuable space. "Less is best."
I have begun this process but after I use item first time I mark dot with marker and when I use it second time I take marked dot off. This lets me know if it one of those items that is never used or necessary on certain trips.
Anyone else got ideas on this topic?
