Very good idea Phil,
I applaud your ingenuity!!! But a word of advice from the Well Meaning Ranger...
If you get a "taker" keep in mind the whole Hub, Drum and Bearings will have to be changed over... And as a set... The bearings have to be matched to the race in the bearing hub.... And since they are off on the ground a good time to service them..... HOWEVER.... They cannot be mixed up, they have to stay matched. So, hub, drum, bearing, and to tell you the truth the brakes themselves will be worn in to fit that drum... But that is getting to be too big of a job... At least examine the lot when you swap it all over... And be sure to leave the bearings matched to the hub drum, and if a lot of kilometres I would just flat out replace the bearings and not muck around...

Keep in mind the cost of the bearings themselves is far cheaper than the labour to do it all again soon... While the Hubs are off, I would just change them out and save the matched set of bearing and race (cone and cup in Aussie slang) -Save the old ones as a match set for spares...

Regards .... Ranger....
