I have just bought a new F250 and I am looking for a set of Ford tow mirrors.
My local Ford dealer (Sydney) wants about $800 for the pair.
Has anyone recently bought any mirrors?

Thanks
Palle

Palle,
Thats the price that I paid for mine about 18 months ago. Strange thing is, they are made in Adelaide but have to be purchased from the USA.

Hi Palle.
I imported my own from (Bob Utter Ford in USA) cost me a lot of hair because they sent the wrong ones (No electric adjustment) which I sent back & they did finally reinburse me the postage, my cost inc freight was $514 + the conversion factor for the refund back into my Visa card about $7.50
& then I sent them to Melbourne to get altered for right hand drive another $200 + $70 freight.(Rather strange as it says on the box Made in Australia) Total time about 6 to 8 weeks from go to wo.
They come with inst. take about 1 hour to fit yourself.
I have looked & the price is dearer now, so $800 is ok.
BUT BEWARE
There are lots of configurations,
The best & most expensive, are the (TWO WAY SWING_BOTH SIDES_WITH ELECTRIC ADJUSTMENT.
But I would'nt have any other, as I have allready knocked one backing out of my garage (& without the swing both ways guess how much that may have cost me?)
Regards Peter.

Palle,

Give F-Series Spares a call on 07 3283 5000. They do a straight buy for about $650 or so and an exchange for $550 or so. That was the price about 6 months ago so it should not have changed much.

They are the elctrically adjustable, extendable and fold back type and are good quality.

Other contact info is as follows.
Address: 350 Duffield St Clontarf. Qld. 4109
Fax: 3283 5011
E-Mail: fseries@fseries.com.au

Regards, Bill

They are a good company to go use and you can always do a trade in old for new etc.

Just to add the website address is www.fordqldfseries.com.au

We bought our F250 with the mirrors already added and they are well worth the money especially when towing.

You can buy them at Queensland Diesel Spares for $ 600.00 but are for L/H drive Models and have to be modified.

For the correct conversion try;
Vehicle Development Corporation
380 Barry Road
Campbellfield Vic
03 9357 0208.

They did mine a few years back, perfect job.
Some just file a detent stop in the LH mirror to make it "sort of alright" but it is not the correct way to do the conversion.
