Anyhow, here I am sitting at the computer making entries for our site when the phone rings.
S.W.M.B.O. answers the phone.
"Oh!, he's on the BOG at the moment, I'll hand him the phone."

Could have been better phrased, took some explaining to the calling party.

Regards
Bob

The ????? should have been Kanji characters but the system won't take them.

Anyhow, most couldn't read them anyway.

When i first discovered the BOG website, it was after a lady told me how to find it. I then sent her an email which started with " i have been playing on the BOG all day" - she rang me because for some strange reason, my address was on the rude email she had just received - she had only seen the first line in her mail preview.

After 35 inches of rain in the last 5 Months, we understand what another BOG is down here, as I was reminded today, when slashing down by the river.
Put your mud tyres on Judy!
No only joking, it is nearly a drought, as we have not had any rain for a week.
Regards Peter.

3 days ago we had 100 ml, yesterday 18 ml. and since 3pm today 170 ml and it is still raining.

Don't have to water the gardens around here, and the town water storage is overflowing.

Yes, Sunshine Coast got a two week respite, but we are really BOGGED down.... Too much drought relief here, mud holes everywhere....

Can't slash, can't ride, even the arena has pools on it... The Ranger is deep in the BOG of too much rain here, and it is raining again as we speak.... Wish we could ship some of it to those of you in need, instead of getting it all here...

Kind Regards, for 2006, we are back at work in nearly full force at Bushtracker....

We have a cyclone due to cross over us in the next 24 hours. Now that will create a real BOG.
Wish us luck
Well tired down Pannatrackers

Trevor and Lyndal,
All joking around aside, we have never lost a Bushtracker in a Cyclone, but I have spent a considerable amount of time in the Hurrican belt.... I have been out of touch with the news and out bush, so don't know where you are or what cyclone...????

The S.O.P. there is to hammer down a fence picket into the dirt as far as you can go, and then put chain and a turnbuckle on all four corners... Crank her down a little. In the extremes of winds over 150 km per hour, it will keep her buckled down for the worst...

In our case it would be at the tow eyes in the back, and around the a-frame at the front corners of the van... Don't know how serious of a cyclone it is, but for all readers this is the preparations for a serious one if you are stuck for what to do.

Kind Concerns from the Ranger...

Steve
All strapped down with 25tonne tie downs onto specially made concrete and steel tie points. I have taken some photos and will post them when things calm down.
We are in Pannawonica. If you have a look at the weather site for WA there are maps of where the storm is going.
Thanks for your concern
Trevor & Lyndal
PS We don't plan to loose a Bushtracker in this storm either.
