Hi All,
An unusual quirk of the Globalstar Sat Phone, is that if some one text's you, it will not tell you where it came from, and as most people who text do not sign off Duhhhhhh!!!!!. not a chance in hell of finding out who just said Hi !!!!!.

I know its not a big deal, but I have recieved a text from ( person or person's ) unknown and its driving me batty as to who it was, so if any of you text a GSP and I know we have quite a few of these phones in the Bog, please sign off for the sanity of the reciever.
Thanks
Graham

Now who could it have been ??????????

Hi Graham,
If you had bought a decent Sat phone, you may not have the problem.
From the Iridium website you can send a text message, and the before the message, there is a box asking the sender for his reply email address, which we can then use to directly reply from our sat phone.

Of course, if they don't want you to know, they leave the return address off!

(I found the additional standard bits that came with the Iridium, made it a much better proposition for me than the Globalstar)
