we heading out to birdsville in a couple of weeks with the view of spending some time to enjoy the area with the water on the way down from the thompson and barcoo.
is anyone out there at the mopment or have info on the current situation? or when flooding is most likely
we'll be contacting locals later but interested on your views.

thanks for that!!!!! Flies on the BBQ steak sorta look like pepper steak!!
looks like we'll be doing similar trip to yourselves but we'll head from Woorim to Toowoomba to Bollon, Thargomindah, Innamincka.
Change to your trip, we'll go down Strazelecki and back up Birdsville after spending some time in the Borrosa and loading up!!
Unfortunately we have to be back for a weddingin July.
But we will head off north again after that.

There is a property past Thargo on the Bullo River that allows camping.
Or at least it used to, check in town if interested.
Property name is "Thyangra" and was run by Bluey Maher, great bloke. His offsider is "Two Bob", a real character.
Can camp right beside the river.
Havn't been there for several years but we were catching Yellowbelly "out the van window".
