Hi

The group arrived today at Ayers Rock where we will be for the next three days.

840K from Coober Pedy to AR via Oodnadata and Dalhousie Springs (the warm water was wonderful on the bod!).

All going well - a great experience for all.

Howdy Happy travellers - sounds ex. Jealous as well - but would like to know current costs of the van park. We camped there July 1995 for three nights, non-powered site with about 4m x 4m of lawn and no shade for the two tents - one for Sally & myself, one for our yougest lad. Cost was $9 ea per night for total of $81 for the three nights. We sure made use of those excellent camp kitchen structures and gas cookers for meals and hot water at that price.
Cheers - Ian & Sally

Hi

We each paid $142 for four nights.

Made use of the excellent BBQ facilities after a day at the rock.

Keith, Sue and their friend Dave rented bikes for the day and we unfolded our Dahons and did 55k for the day. Out to the rock and complete around the base and back to the camp. Great day.

The others walked around the base.

Thursday onto Kings Canyon.

Cheers, Jay

G'day Jay , Keith, Phil, Jack, Dave & Co!
Hope you travelled well to Lambert Centre. We travelled from Dalhousie to Old Andado- the BTs JUST fitted through the border gate NW of Mt Dare- much tighter than the other gate; and the track was really narrow... we had to do some track modifications.
Then from Old Andado up along the dunes to Santa Theresa and past the 80km rubbish dump to Alice Springs for a few days on Grass at the Big4.
Happy Travels!
