18 inch off road tyres for Discovery 3

I have a Discovery 3 TDV6 that I will be using to tow my new BT when I get it in March. The standard tyres that came with it are really road tyres (Goodyear Wrangler 255/60 R18)and I have searched hi and lo to find some all terrain or off road tyres to replace the originals which are nearly worn out.
Does anyone know if there are 255/60 R18's available in all terrain/off road?
What should I be looking at putting on my tow vehicle? (I read on the
forum about BFG Muddies but can you have these when a large part of the time is still on bitumen?)
