Peter and all Boggers,
In case you have not discovered it, look up in the right hand corner of the
Forum general page and you will see
SWITCH SORT OPTIONS
under that you have two choices RESPONSE TIME and POST ID....
If you click on RESPONSE TIME then any additions you make to the Thread, brings that thread to the top... I would actually suggest that everyone leave the
BOG on the RESPONSE TIME selection, as when you leave it on POST ID, and additional response to a Thread is easily missed as it stays down in order. An important bit might be missed as it is buried ten threads down you might not open it again. But with the RESPONSE TIME sort, it brings it up to first place again.... You will not miss a thing..
Regards, Ranger....

Totally agree,
I'd say that on a relatively low traffic
forum such as this, and with some only logging on occasionally, that to have the default set as response time would make more sense??
Note-i know this isn't what the post was aimed at but I've thought to mention this afew times.

Peter,
The committee members are the only ones that have the ability to Delete a posting, and as far as I know there is no way of editing a posting other than deleting and then reposting it.

Also Whiskywoo2....in case you were wondering...you cannot edit or remove an existing post...Maybe ask admin if it worries you a lot
I know it is something I would like as I have yet to make a topic post that I have been happy with when I reread it...I have either left something important out or I have made some other error like forgetting to spell check.
There is however a good point about the lack of editing, and that is if folks know that what they write is there for all to see and will stay there or wait to be moderated, then they will think hard before making comments in the heat of the moment as has happened a few times.

It's a bugger when that happens isn't it. We will all just have to learn to be touch typists (that'll be the day) and get our posts on quicker.

I would love an edit function - i only see my typing errors as the page vanishes onto the web.
