This being our 5th caravan over a 26 year period, we've been around caravans a while.
Prior to purchasing our Bushtracker, we owned 2 second hand vans, then bought 2 brand new vans in a three year period from the same well known manufacturer. Those vans started to spend more time with the dealer than with us. We had constant leaks before & even after being told they'd been fixed.
We had lino with large air bubbles, where the glue had come unstuck. (skimping on glue)
All the cupboards & draws were replaced because all the mitres were opening up & coming apart. (The dealer told us your been up north in the heat. He was right we'd been to the Gold Coast to visit our son) (the dealer wouldn't do anything about it, till we took the van to the factory and complained. A new set were sent to the dealer. All the cupboard & draws were replace. Except for a couple of ours which were in better condition than the new ones )
We know this was just not a one off.
When we'd pull into a camping spot, somebody would wonder over & ask with a smile on their face, how many problems you had with Ya Jayco mate?
We'd sit there swapping horror stories over the next hour or so.
We'd always did the few months touring bit each year, but now we wanted to sell up and live permanently on the road (not everybodys cup of tea though)
We needed a van that would see us through the next 4 to 8 years or hopefully longer.
We travelled the country to all the different factories looking at off-road vans.
The first was Bushtracker. We were welcomed & taken on a tour of the factory. After the tour we sat down with Steve and explained what WE WANTED in our van (not what some manufactuer wanted to give us) & what WE WANTED to do & how we were going to go about it.
After all, this was going to be our home!
He talked about different equipment, layouts & tow vehicles available.
At no time were we confronted with high pressure salesmen breathing down our neck as soon as we stepped through the gate.
As a matter of fact there was no sales talk at all. We'd gained all the information we needed without the pressure. Quite refreshing we thought...
We told him as we were leaving, we were going to tour the other off-road factories as well.
His parting words were "You'll be back!" (we now know he was spot on with that comment)
After 4 1/2 months travelling to all the factories. Some we lost interest with and just went through the process, because as soon as we seen their vans without the skin on, we knew their frames were just like our old ones.
Thats not what we wanted!
To shorten the story a bit we've now had our Bushtracker for 10 months.
We've done the Darling River run to Bourke then to Hungerford to Thargamindah to Innamincka to Birdsville via the Walkers Crossing track.
Then to Bedourie & Boulia then across the Plenty & Donohue Highways (highways there only dusty strips of dirt) to Alice Springs then south to Rainbow Valley & Chambers Pillar where SWMBO said I need a sea change!
So it was off to the Yorke Peninsula SA, for 4 weeks crabbing & fishing.
From there we went via Snowtown to Broken Hill & onto Menindee fishing the Darling River with much success.
Getting close to Christmas it was time to do some shopping for the kids & grand kids.
Decided to shop in Mildura.
So we went down through Pooncarie & into the remote Mungo National Park for a couple of days, then camped on the Murray while attending to the shopping.
Not wanting to travel back the same way, we west to Renmark in SA, camping overnight at Lock No 9, then to Remark the next day.
From Renmark we went up through Calperum, Pine Camp, Belmore, Cooninda & Springwood Stations to the Silver City Hwy & camped overnight at Popitah Lake. The next morning we headed towards Broken Hill when SWMBO said lets go watch the sunset over the Mundi Mundi Plains north of Silverton.
Her wish is my command.
But we just had to have a couple of cold schooners on the front verandah of the Silverton Pub on the way through.
We've been at Mundi Mundi before watching the sunsets & if there's the slighest bit of cloud cover, we reckon there the best in the Australia, and we've seen a lot! Just make sure you look at the sky behind you for some magnificent colours as well.
Then it was back out to Mendiee to spend Christmas with some friends.
After New Year we went from Mendiee to Ivanhoe to Hilston to Grithiff to Leeton, & Coolamon, then to the east coast & up to Bushtracker for some warranty repairs.
Thats what this Email is all about.
Steve we'd both like to thank You, Tracy, Peter, Wayne, Peter (Elect) and the crew for the outstanding after sales service service we received. The warranty work carried out was far beyond our expetations. What we like at BT is, you don't explain what you want repaired to a Receptionist, hopping they remember every fine detail.
You can talk direct to whoever is doing the work. Very personal service.
This sort of service is hard to find these days.
We had a feeling after we ordered our Bushtracker that this would be the way we'd be treated.
No crap like, Oh your been up north!!.
You build a product that you can take to where ever SWMBO wants to go.
And after 4 months running around the deserts at the end of each day there was not one speck of dust inside our van. More time for SWMBO to have a red with me at the end of each day.
This is the quality and after sales service we wanted in our new home right from the start!
Thanks Bushtracker for making a couple travellers worry free & very happy.

WOW ! Bob and Kaycee,

Thank you for taking the time to write such a glowing report..! It is really a special feeling for us. Something like this, such a nice gesture, really makes it all seem so very worthwhile to try and go the extra mile to make people happy...

We do try and do the best we can by people, and it is often taken for granted.... It really feels good to get such a nice letter of appreciation...

Once again, Thank you, on behalf of Bushtracker, from the lone Ranger... Wow!!

Prospective buyers

For those out there wondering what caravan to buy we heard 35 or so similar stories from the BushTracker owners at the Copeton rally last year.
Certainly say's a lot about the product and company.
We have since ordered our BT and looking forward to the experience.
