Our van lives in the open, no cover 24/7 and there is no sign of scuffed up windows and the paint is as good as the day it was new.

hi

thanks for that...no i think i wrote the question badly. I have heard that covers can scuff windows and paint but, from what you have said perhaps i will just leave it out without a cover.

thanks

If you leave it uncovered the solar panels will keep your batteries in good order.

The only people who seem to cover their vans are non Bushtracker owners.

My van has been in the open for 2 years, wind ,rain, sun & 2 winters with over 8" of snow on top with 2 sea voyages thrown in and is still looking as good as new.
Leave it out thats why you bought it, and have a great trip.
Regards

Hi Sidewinder,

Ours has been in the open since we go it last November, the only damage is all the white seals around the windows and doors have turned Pilbara Iron ore red! :)

Yep! I'll second that observation! And the roof is a nice shade of Newman red as well! Inches of dust, and it's not worth the hassle of washing it off as it just looks the same in a week! BUT..........once we are outta here, one wash and the van comes up like new again....that's the beauty of having a bushtracker all weather van!
