Public acknowledgement and “Thank You”, ref Post ID 3300 “A Bogger in Need”

My wife and I have just managed to get home again after being stuck in Albany WA for a month due to a back injury rendering me unable to drive. Unfortunately my wife does not drive or even hold a licence.
I feel compelled to thank all those who helped or offered their help in our hour of need, starting with the members of the BOG site that made suggestions or offered to drive our rig home to Qld. Thank you to Bob Hall (RJH4122) who was the first person I called to find out how to get us and the rig home as I knew he and Lyn were in the area. Thank you Bob for posting a request on the BOG site on our behalf, the response was just amazing. For insurance reasons we elected to have the rig trucked back home to Qld, but I sincerely thank you all for your very kind offers of assistance, and apologise for not replying to the postings sooner, but we did not have access to the internet while at Albany and have only just read them now we are home. Your kind offers were conveyed to me by Bob Hall who did have access to the net and again I thank you all. There are so many nice people out there it blew us away.
I was taken to the Albany Hospital by ambulance, and Mark the Paramedic from St John’s Ambulance soon had me calmed down and breathing properly after a couple of needles in the right places. Thank you Mark. The staff at the hospital were all very dedicated and caring and Dr Noll put me on Morphine to kill the pain. Thank you to the Staff and Doctors at Albany Hospital.
We were so fortunate to have booked into the Big 4 “Middleton Beach holiday Park” before my back injury became apparent. We booked for three days and stayed a month. This is the most maintained caravan park I have ever seen, it is absolutely immaculate and the staff do a wonderful job. They will even park your van for you, and one staff member emptied our Thetford Cassette toilet for us as I could not do it and my wife had never done it before and could not lift it anyway. We offered payment but this was refused, we were told it was not company policy to accept payment for such things. This Big 4 holiday park is right on the beach, is rated AAA and 4 ½ stars and I would encourage all you boggers to pay them a visit if you get to Albany WA in your travels. There is a pool and Spa, camp kitchen, disabled Amenities, and cabins to suit every occasion. ( www.holidayalbany.com.au)
Joan and I wish to sincerely thank Mim, Trish and Simon for looking after us so well. I cannot thank MIM enough, she treated us like her own family with a loving cuddle when Joan was in tears, and giving us such special treatment as reduced rates on our van site, and a special deal on the cabin that we had to hire when they trucked our beloved Bushtracker to Perth to get put on a road train to Qld. We will never forget the hospitality that was so freely given at this Caravan Park. Outstanding! Thank You.
We chose Trewin Transport Australia to get our Bushtracker and tow vehicle back to Qld. They came right to the caravan park to collect them and handled them with care and consideration. The driver even explained to my wife how and why they secure the vehicles the way they do, as she was paranoid that they might fall off the truck on the way to Perth. After the driver had so carefully explained why they could not come off the truck to my wife, the tears stopped and she was a lot more confident that her BT would be cared for all the way to Qld. Trewin’s have the contract to deliver all Coramal caravans right around Australia, so we knew that they were very experienced in this type of transportation. They told us today that our Bushtracker and Patrol will be on our door step on Monday the 4th June. Thank you very much Terry and Narelle at Trewin’s in Kenwick W.A.
I also wish to thank Ian Scully who runs Albany “Way to Go” Charters and Taxi service ( Phone 98 444 444 ) for taking Joan to and from the Hospital while I was a patient and also for getting us to Perth airport from Albany cheaper and more conveniently than Qantas could. He was on time, and the cost came in $50 under the quoted price. Thanks “Scully” you are a real Gentleman.
Our sincere thanks to you all,

Keith and Joan Facey.
Golden Crest Manors.
Nerang, Qld. 4211.
