What do you do about mail forwarding when you are on the road for 3 months or more. I have heard of Landbase Australia but are there others?

Hi there Jimjan,
We have used Posthaste in the past quite successfully. They are based in Brisbane and so we had all our mail sent there and they sent it on to us on request.
At the moment we are using Ivan's mother as our postmistress. She empties our mail box on KI, sorts through the rubbish and only sends on the important stuff. There are some downsides to using family or friends but at the moment this is working for us.

Gooday,
When on road full time a few years ago we got a PO Box at a small PO which is "OWNER OPERATED" (franchised). ALL our mail goes there even now..
When we travel we buy bundle in (our case usually10, get 'em cheaper if U buy 10) fill in all except the address we want them sent to, give them to PO B4 we leave, fax them once a week, with address where we need it sent to, they put it in satchel & it is delivered within 1-3 days throughout Australia.
If you fax forwarding address to them form C/Park or Visitor Info Centre, there is no argument about who got it wrong you both have a copy. Been doing it for 7 years now without a hitch.
Just check with the PO owners that they are agreeable first, the Official PO's won't do it they have no interest, all staff, not personally owned.
Works for us & you don't have to rely on Family or Friends, tried that, doesen't work after a while.
Buy yourself an A5 A-Z indexed book, when you sadvise a new address to one of your sneders bank etc etc, enter their name & date you advised them of the change in that book & when the mail goes to the old address again & again, after advising them the second & third time (Previosly advised of a change of address on so & so date.) Then after the third time when you have to phone them to hopefully talk to a Human Being, you have your facts right & can give them a blast how hopeless they are.
Cheers,

Hi JimJan,
We do the same thing as above...we have a P.O. Box with a small town P.O. that is an Owner Operator and all we do is leave them with a cash float of $30.00 that they use to forward on the mail when we request it.
Our guy asks if we need it "Platinum or Express or Standard" delivery and then they pack it accordingly and shoot it of to the address we nominate.....They include an invoice for the amount they deduct from our float......we just top it up as needed.
So simple and has worked for us for the last 3 years.
Hope this helps
Rick & Julie
