The post
I have just upgraded the Voyager brake controller to a Prodidgy in my F250 and I am having trouble adjusting it, I set it to B2 because BT is about the same weight as the Ford, followed instructions and increased the power adjustment from 6 volts through to the max 13 Volts but was not able to lock BT wheels. I have even set it at B3 and still can't lock Van wheels even with power setting at 13 volts. I have now found after checking each wheel individually that I have one brake magnet not working, would this cause my Prodidgy adjustment problem, can you buy the magnets from caravan repair businesses or do I get one from BT factory, are they difficult to fit? I am on the Gold Coast if anyone knows who I could try.
Thanks for any assistance
Eric Greenwood
Eric,
We have just had a problem with ours having a fault code of "nc" in the display, after lots of checking with plugging into another caravan and fitting another prodigy unit we eventually found a broken wire at one wheel magnet.
It appears that BTi wire the brakes up in a circuit and if one fails then the circuit is broken and nothing works. It is different to what you have because we couldn't get any reading other then "nc" when the wire was broken.
I haven't changed magnets myself but it looks like it is just a case of cutting the wires and fitting the new one.
There are 2 types of magnets, one for on and one for off road so make sure you get the off road ones.

We recently replaced the brake shoes on our van and found to our surprise that it was cheeper to buy the complete backing plate, with shoes, spring, adjuster and magnet, than to buy the brake shoes only.
Blakey's Brakes in Mareeba north Queensland put us onto it.
Amazing that.

Good tips guys
I think it is worth putting in the 'swop file' section.
