Hello all,
Some stuff to begin with - maybe more to come as time permits.

We have returned from our longest jaunt ever - 7 weeks and 4 days - in Mobi from Adelaide to Alice to Halls Creek via Tanami - Bungles - Kununurra - Wyndham - El Questro - Gibb River Road - Drysdale River - Mt Elizabeth (rained in there for 6 days) - Derby - Fitzroy Crossing - Broome - Panawonnica - Onslow - Tom Price - Willuna - Kalgoorlie - Nullabor - Home. Longest day was 665 k, shortest was 300 metres (when we shifted Mobi to dryer terrain on Mt Elizabeth Station!)

Travelled 11700 k - and we had a ball.

Lots of details soon available. 3000+ images.

The BT performed just brilliantly over sealed highway, rocks, corrugations, through rough dry rocky creeks, about 270 k of Gibb River Road when slushy and 60 - 90 k of that was PURE SLUSH! Boy did the BT get dirty. Mobi was the "Official Clothes Drying Cabinet" for the 24 folk delayed with us for the three solid days of rain at Mt Elizabeth.

The 80 Series with 1HZ was turbo'd just prior to the trip and we returned 9% better fuel economy with 1.5 to 2 gears advantage on the long dragging climbs.

So now we have to settle down a bit - have to go back to w... on Monday!

But we still have to wash Mobi down (Water restrictions mean a lovingly hand washed effort all over) - will have to hire a pressure cleaner for the under body though!

Cheers - Ian & Sally

We will be interested to read the more detailed report when you have more time. We plan to return to the Kimberley again next year.

Hi Ian & Sally

You certainly had a good trip by all accounts, we look forward to further reading of the adventure.

We are looking to do a trip to the N.W. when our new BT is ready, hopefully next year and looking to meet others on the way.

Happy travels in the future.

Cheers

We plan on going back to our old stamping ground in the East Kimberley next year. Current plan to to do the west to east run down the Gibb very early after the wet (to clean-out all the fish from the rivers before you other Boggers get there!!)

So will look forward to catching up with a few of you.

Cheers John and Jean

WA08ters,

Our tentative plans are Kimberly east to west as early after wet as possible, then head south to Pilbarra and the Goldfields. To do this we'll be taking about 4 months, leaving east coast early April.

We are watching this space for as much info as possible. Does anyone have a WA wildflower calendar by region?

Cheers......Rob and Liz

Anyone heading east from the Kimberley around mid August?
We're at Broome presently, interested in travelling with other BTs.
We plan on being back in Brisbane by early December.
Cheers
Bob
