Last November the warning light in the shape of an engine came on and the motor would only run extremely rough, and it was traced to a broken wire near the injectors that had closed half the motor down.
Last Thursday this engine warning light came on again and this time there was only a minor rough running and a bit or a loss in power. I took it around to Ford and wouldn't you know it the warning light was out the entire time they had it. A kilometre after I picked it up the warning light re-appeared and the Fault code only showed a couple of minor faults and it went out again.
This morning it flashed on and off a few times before staying on full time and again with the corresponding loss of power and rough running of the motor.
I think it is a bad connection in a wire somewhere, but wouldn't know where to start to look so it is back around at Ford again.
Has any other F250 owner experienced these problems.

Brian, when I had the "starved for fuel" problem the engine icon came on as the engine was about to starve to death.
Cheers and enjoy Gympie - let's do it together in 2009.

I got the truck back today after fault code P1276 which is an open circuit in the injector wiring was repaired.
Apparently the left side "Rocker Cover Gasket" has electrodes going through it that connects the injectors to the wiring outside, and it was this gasket that had the fault. This gasket is no ordinary gasket and is part number FOF81Z6584AA that only costs a mere $421.72 plus tax.
The good thing is that the truck now feels as though it has had a high performance chip put in it as it has far more power now than it has had for a long time if not from new.
