For months , every morning I have checked RV Point , the Trading Post , this Forum and ExplorOz Trader ads for a 16 ft BT .

Yesterday I bought one from a couple in southern Qld . It has everything I wanted and in great condition .

I flew up from Sydney and they met me at the airport . I was welcomed with a hug and a kiss - I hope all BT owners are as nice as they are !

Cheers ,

Jigalong .

Welcome to the BOG family, now that you have a van you can join the owners forum where there are many more topics that will assist you.

As for being a friendly bunch, if you can get to a rally you will have to put up with hugs and kisses from all the girls. It is hard but we manage to put up with it. wink wink.

Well done Jigalong - the 16 footers are hard to find. Yes, we are a friendly mob; welcome to the Bushtracker Owners.

Well now! Bottle the Bees Knees - or something - fantastic stuff. Well Done!
Now for all the questions - if not too rude of course!
We have some friends who have realised the error of their ways in not doing what we did and now hanker for a BT! They have just done a 6-7 weeker Adelaide to the Gulf via Birdsville etc, across to Cairns, down to Berrima & back home. The little lady is now sure they should have a van the little man is sheepishly in agreement!
So if it is not tooo rude we would love (on their behalf) to ask stuff like layout, ensuite, stove, fridge, (and if we may be so bold - price - or range that the price was in to say $5k AU)
Cheers - Ian & Sally

Ian and Sally ,
The layout is very cunning . It has the same amount of room in it as the 18 ft BT mounted with an island bed . This is because it has an east west double bed up against the rear wall . It is harder to make the bed , but saves a lot of north south space .
It has a shower and toilet at the front offside and next to this , is the stove and a huge bench . Aft from the shower is the sink and then the big fridge freezer . Opposite the sink is an "L" shaped lounge . I do not plan to use the toilet - I like a room with a view !
It has alloy armour , and is one tough looking beast .

Hi Willie,
I don't know if this will help much, but there is a new electric brake unit out in the USA called Tekonsha Prodigy P3. They are available on ebay (item 320152390704). Hope this is of some assistance to you.

cheers Ross

Ross ,
I have found them on Ebay , but I may not have time to get one there . I think I will have to pay a premium and get it installed by ARB in a "quicky".
Thanks for your help ,
Willie .
