G'Day
Has anyone had experience with the VMS (Vehicle Media Systems) navigation/media system, in particular Model IDP 2265. It apparently replaces the audio modules in some vehicles (Toyotas and Nissans) and is even available as a dealer fitment to new vehicles in some cases.
Regards,

Hi,
Just been looking at the same unit.
Pretty expensive at around $2600.
Does all the goodies I need like;
Handsfree Bluetooth for the mobile phone
Reversing Camera Video input
Will take all types of Hema etc moving maps.
Looks like a great unit. IDN3000 (Search on Google)
Navman do a similar unit but with out the Bluetooth and similar price.
Regards Kurt

My HP rx 5965 does a lot for far less money,all that, not sure about reversing camera video but you can screen other video's. It can view JPG's, record sound, has bluetooth for the phone and WiFi for the computing side. Runs Natmaps and Hema or self scanned maps and is a full blown PDA for internet access etc. $650 less $100 HP cash back.
Very happy with it. The windscreen mounting system is the best I have seen.

I have a relative who has one - lots of problems. Too clever for itself by half
