Dear Lord, lest I continue in my complacent ways,
help me to remember that someone died for me today.
And if there be war,
help me to remember to ask and to answer
"am I worth dying for?”
~ Eleanor Roosevelt ( wife of the greatest of all US Presidents)

It is easy to become blase about such tragedies and sort of think "well that's war" , but the reality hits home when it touches you , or someone you know .
I am typical . I read the article about David's death and paid it no heed . Yesterday I found out David Pearce was the brother of a lady I met last month . Suddenly I was forced to really think about David Pearce's death and how it affected the people who loved him .
Maybe I am not worth dying for .

We are all a work in progress.
Just some days the progress is slower than others.
And I can identify with that.
Our household were also caused to pause and think of David and his family and how valuable each day should be.
