Have been waiting for the OME kit to be fitted to a few cars before I spend my hardearned.
I'd be very interested in feedback with regard to ride quality, pitching etc both loaded and empty.
How does the front compare to the parabolics?
Price seems to be a bit lighter than others, is that correct?
Black Cobra - Steve, you say you fitted the RTC stabiliser, did you drive it after OME but before new Stabiliser? and if so how did it handle? Any chance of a pic to see just how low it is.
Cheers
Chris

Hi Chris, i'm sure Stewart will speak up, but i will add i saw his truck today and it looks great with the ARB suspension fitted. The steering stabilisor does hang down low but whether it's a major concern i couldnt say, i cant see any of these Effy's being used as rock crawlers LOL. I am looking forward to a drive to compare it to my F250's ride.

Chris,
The ARB suspension gives the truck a tighter feel and the Tough Dog RTC stabiliser certainly gives the steering a more firmer precise feel and there are no more steering wanders as before.
I did not drive the truck before and after the suspension was fitted without the RTC steering stabiliser so I cannot comment on how it drove without it as it was all done the same time.
Ride height measurements before kit fitted
F/L 800mm F/R 795mm R/L 825mm R/R 815mm
After kit fitted
F/L 875mm F/R 868mm R/L 905mm R/R 885mm
Overall lift 70-75mm but may settle down after it weras in.
Have not done many kilometers with it yet and have not taken it back to ARB for its 500 km re tighten and check ride heights which they record for warranty.
I hooked the BT up the other day and it did not seem to drop all that much as I have taken out the air bags due to them not having long enough travel with the raised suspension but it drove well on the black top.
I did not have to change the height of the hitch from before as the BT was very level.
I am not to cluey in posting photos on the
forum so send me an email to stewarttremain@bigpond.com and I will try and send a photo that way.
The steering damper hangs down level with the bottom of the diff so if you look under the truck an imagine where the bottom of the diff is it is in line with that and goes across the the bracket on the right side near the shocky, the left side is clamped onto the steering arm with a supplied bracket.
I don't intend on doing rock crawling so I cannot see a problem with it where it is, only that you just have to be careful how you position the vehicle in those situations. I spoke with the suppliers of the stabilser and they said that is the way they are positioned on the F250's. Have a look on their web 4WD1.com and put in the make etc and you will also see a picture of the steering stabilser on a F250 but with a 4" lift.
The kit certainly gives the truck an nice look not to high not to low.
Cheers
Stewart

Hi Chris,
As another option I have had Tough Dog suspension fitted to F250.
Lifted truck approx 90mm. which I was told was probably 50-60mm. from new height.
Really happy with ride and handling.
After reading Stewarts report I will definately fit stabiliser as I feel truck still wanders a bit on the highway.
Cheers,
Rob

Thanks Rob for answering my question of what it would drive like without the stabiliser fitted but just the suspension kit.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. Seems like this may be a good mod.
Guess my main concern was that it would finish up with a hard "truck-like" ride when used without much weight in it.
Would anyone care to coment on that specifically.
Stewart, have sent you an email for the stabiliaser pic, much appreciated. BTW apologies for calling you Steve, don't know what got into me.
