Hi Frank
We went from Glendambo to Wudinna on that road April last year. It was all corrugated, and we killed our fridge. OK if you take it slow and let the tyres down. We travelled 40 - 60 kms/hr for most of it and should have gone slower, with tyres lower (car and caravan). Some people say it's been good when they went through. Our daughter went through that way with her first husband in a company sedan (that he shouldn't have taken out of the state) and found it a good road - that was many years ago.
Another option is to go north from Iron Knob and travel through the stations and Gawlers to meet the same road about a third of the way along it. Still have the worst part to go. Also you can go north from Kimba or Koongawa and meet up with the afore mentioned station roads, or take any other road travelling north through the Gawlers. All of these roads were good station roads in early 2005.

Hi Frank if you are referring to Googs track I don't know how the
bushtracker would go. Have done this track couple of years back before we owned a
bushtracker and lot of it is steep sand dunes. A great and beautiful drive but unless someone has towed their
bushtracker through there already I not sure if I would do it with the
bushtracker in tow.

We have not done the Goog's but it is not a track for a caravan. The one we took may be fine depending on when it gets graded or just do as we should have done; let the tyres down and take it nice and slow. Many outback roads and tracks will be worse, and that is why we have a
Bushtracker.

Frank,
August just gone we went through to Coober Pedy turning off the Eyre H'Way east of Ceduna at a place called Wirrula which is before Poochera. We went through the Koolgera Con Res just west of the Gawler Ranges and came out at Kingoonya.
Some places were corrigated but we did it with no problems at all as did our firends in a Prado and a off road 16' Roadstar. Very scenic and the Sturt Peas in large clumps were very impressive.
Cheers

Howdy Frank - Very beautiful area to travel. Lots of Natural History stuff (Lake Acraman, Volcanic remnants, most HUMUNGUS Wombats we have ever seen - and in broad daylight! etc) have to watch the South Australian Northern Roads Report site though. The road through there gets shut in an instant with rains!

Thanks for that,Stewart. that is way the i will bank on going , and as i say that that Northern roads report that Ian mentioned says that it is closed, so that looks like a handy site to have in the computer.
I will paste a link, Site Link
covers all those roads, thank you Motherhen as well.
