Does anybody know how to get rid of Black ants out of the van without using a Bomb. I had little brown ants at first then the bigger Black ants came in and ate all the little brown ants and now I can't get rid of them.

Regards
Brian

You could try to put some orange ants in the van.
They are even bigger than the big black ants and they will eat them all.

Hornets love the BIG black ants and they will then eat them so introduce some hornets and no more ants.

To get rid of the hornets put in a handful of BIG BIG BIG huntsman spiders.
And so on and so forth.

But seriously, an insecticide bomb is the best, gets rid of critters you didn't even know you had.
Leave all the cabinet doors open, remove any exposed food, let the bomb off, lock the van and come back 3/4 hours later.
The van will air out faily quickly.
We have found no after affects from the Mortein bombs.

Don't forget to turn all the power off and disconnect from any mains supply when using an insect bomb.

Hi

We have always used the ant traps available in the supermarket and place them around inside the van.

We never get ants when we replace these traps within the date time frame.

We had black ants invade when van was in it's home park spot. Surface spray worked after which we (Sally) had a hard time to wipe down the surfaces. After that a dose of Professional Surface spray on all wheels, Jockey wheel and then a good dose around the axles and then the support block seemed to keep the little critters at bay. Also a liberal dose of Lanotec lubricant / rust surface spray also seemed to assist our cause. Hope this is of more help.

Hi,

Up in Derby ants have been known to eat everything and anything, including parts of engines. They recommend, largel quantities of baby talc.

First place the powder around the tyres, that stops the ants getting in. Then talc around the van. Works a treat.

Dead set it really does work. Van smells of baby powder but better than the other options.

Have fun

Brian, ants can be a real problem in the bush and Australia has hundreds of varieties. However, they all seem to share one thing in common. They dont like friut acid. Cut a lemon in half and rub it all over the van. Presto! No more ants.
