We have just ordered a new LC as above. We are now learning that the tow ball mount is different from the 100 series (which may affect the HR hitch we have) and the electrics, etc. Has anyone any experience or info that would assist? We are taking off immediately after delivery and don't want any unnecessary hassles.

Just bought new 200 series Turbo Diesel, the tow bar that is built into the car, the standard Hayman Reece tongue fits straight in, but you have to get Toyota to do the wiring for your plug and electric brakes as the wiring harness comes with a little black box, hope this helps.

That's very reassuring. Many thanks for responding. Did Toyota supply and fit your electric brake kit and was the 'little black' wiring box already on the vehicle which they then altered? They are notoriously pricey with such work and equipment. Could any competent auto electrician do the job?
