A few years ago when we were camping on the Roper one member of the group had a Lemair washing machine, I chortled at the concept. This year we spent time on the Roper & at Limen Byte & two vans in the group had Lemairs - were were fortunate enough that the use of these was shared - no chortling this time!
One of the group (the famous Sammy) had his machine in an aluminium box on the draw bar - fully plumbed & wired so that it was just a matter of starting the generator & having water available. We liked the look of his setup & so decided to take the plunge, which gets me to the point. Sammy's installation was done by the brother of a BT owner who trades as Bowline located at Morayfield (near Brisbane for the southeners) so we lined up for him to do the job. We are delighted with the final product, the box is two heights with the Lemair in one section & a 2kw Honda & 3 x fuel cans in the other. As an aside we also purchased & had fitted the fold-up aluminium boat trailer he makes which fits in the cut away at the back of the van.
If anyone is looking to have the same sort of job done I can not imagine anywhere you would get a better result, the drawback is that he works on his own so booking ahead is essential, particularly now, as the 200 series Toyota requires mods to the Tinny Tosser roof unit he also makes so he is doing a bit of retrofitting for a few owners.

Can you post a few pics of the job Andy?
Both ends of the van if you can.

I took a few photos but being something of a troglodyte in this area find the size is too great to download. How do I get around this?

Andy I have found that the best results come from using an on line photo storage system.
I use Photobucket, you need to open an "account" but it is free.
When you load your photos to Photobucket it will re-size them automatically.
Photos stored in Photobucket can be displayed in posts with much better resolution than photos from the members pic file.
When you have loaded the photos into Photobucket you then link them to your post using the "string" displayed at the bottom of the screen when you are constructing a post.
The string that looks says "For Images"
Photobucket will have the url displayed under each pic that you load, use the link called "Direct Link". It is displayed under your photo.
Copy and paste the string after "For Images" into your post then replace all text between the " " with the url from Photobucket.
Give it a go, you will get the hang of it.
You can also use that system to send pics to friends etc.
Regards
Bob

Andy you do not copy the photos, just the URL and then paste the URL as per the instruction above.
This then links your post to the pic, the pic will show whenever someone opens your post.
Hard to explain this stuff, always easier to sit next to someone and show them.
Give it a go, if you stuff up I can delete the post for you.
If still stuck a phone call may help, you have the number.

Good pics Andy.
Linked photos always give better detail than the little thumbnails in our
BOG albums.
Which system did you use?

I used the photobucket system by selecting photos, clicking "Generate HTML and IMG code" and then used the code that started with img. Worked a treat.

G'day Andy,
No offence Bob but I also had trouble with Photobucket and Motherhen came to the rescue and suggested Easy Thumbs from www.fookes.com site may suit my limited capabilities. Worked for me.
Best wishes for the festive season to you all

Have just bought a new tinny and in the process of deciding on folding boat trailers and where to mount them, style i am looking at is the Mangrove Jack Ally type from www.mangrovejack.com
Had thought about mounting at the rear but do not want to jeapodise the cut away departure angle so will most likley just bolt it in the back of the ute, that way boat, outboard & trailer are all together.

Nick ,
I am like you , I don't want to ruin the departure angle . How will you "bolt it onto the back of the ute " ?
I have a 3.7 m Dart which used to go on the top of my Trak Shak camper . Now I have to reconfigure everything .
Thanks ,
Willie .

Hi Millie [pay back LOL]
Million $ Question that one, havent got that far as to working out the details, we have a F250 and my intention was to make a large box for the outboard, genny, chainsaw to fit in to, lockable and dust proof. A few brackets etc and the collapsable trailer could be secured to that, OR i could just chuck the lot in and throw a couple of flour sacks over the lot LOL
Have seen a few trailers mounted on the draw bar of BT's laying down and in the upright position so thats another option for you perhaps
Mick [not Nick ;-)
