I have no certain knowledge what the issue is that has caused the weeping battery issue, however having helped a fellow BT owner recover from the problem I have a suggestion to potential owners et al. That is that you supply your own battery charger to BT. Based on my & the aforementioned owner's experience I would supply a 50A Xantrax charger, making sure it was set up for AGM if you are using BT batteries. These units are not cheap, circa $700 and, again personally, I would not make an issue re some sort of discount if you supply your own charger. Anything out of standard will increase BTs manufacturing cost, just see it as a relatively low cost insurance against a potential major issue.
