Hello from Vic.
I've got a 19ft BT on order with 4 tanks and 4 solar panels/batteries.
I'd appreciate it if any one with a similar spec BT can let me know their Tare and typical loaded weight to help me with tow vehicle setup.
Thanks
Rod

Hi Rod
our 19' with 4 tanks, 4 batteries, 4 panels, tare weight was 2640kg. I have not weighed the van loaded, but on our last trip fully loaded with full tanks a check of the ball weight came in at 240kg.

G'day Rod,
Ours is plated tare of 2580kg and to my regret I did not put it over the weighbridge to check BTI figures as we have 4 panels, 4 batteries, 5 tanks plus the 500mm A frame extension. I later added an aluminium box 1800X900X600 up front to stow the toys and when fully loaded including full tanks it came in at 4000kgs with 350kg on the ball. I then added a box under the rear which carries 3 metal jerry cans and a Tirfor, this reduced the ball weight to 320kg.
cheers graham

Rod,
About 4 years ago BTi changed from 100 to 150 mm A frame and then the weight seemed to increase by 100 to 150 kgs more than the 100 mm frame so when comparing weights you need to look at the later build vans.
Our 21ft 2001 build with 3 batts, 3 panels and 3 tanks was 2480 so it is considerably lighter than the late model vans.

Graham,
4 tonnes before you added the rear box and jerry cans? Aren't you stretching the LandCruiser towing limit a little?
