Gastronomic snobbery , ecstasy by mouth or herbaceous detritus ?

Last night , I enjoyed a packet of beetroot chips . They tasted terrific , but more importantly , they were really beautiful to look at - a rich red / purple colour as you would expect .

And certified organic , of course .

If you have a hankering for some nibbles with a difference.... I mean , just imagine the oohs and aahs when you unveil your beetroot chips . Not cheap though .

Willie,
Did you drink the whole bottle of 1958 Orlando Tawuy port in one sitting or did you save some for latter? Something that old must be sooooo Good.

Mike,

Colin , a gent from Mooloolaba and I , took two nights of gentle sipping and lip smacking to finish it . There was a bit of sediment at the end , so we improvised and strained it through some paper towel !
It was very smooth , in fact perhaps too smooth . Not a hint of brandy spirit left to give it a bite .

Many stories were told and adventures recounted .
