Hi Phil & Helen
It is easy to swap the halogen bulbs in the bedroom reading lights with LEDs MR 16s, as the bulbs are interchangeable. Changing over the others with the long fluro tubes proved more of a challenge. Ensure that the LED bulbs have sufficient output for your needs, ie more LEDs per bulb means more light. You can now get them in 'warm white' as well as the very blue 'cool white' of the earlier bulbs, and in spreader types as well as the direct ones which would light up a very small area at a time.
I hope this helps
