Hi,

We've just bought the above and if you're thinking of replacing your existing set up or are building it's a beaut.

It means you don't need a set top box, the HD picture is like a photograph and it even tunes in every station for you when you set it up. It comes with a 3 year warranty on parts and labour and weigh 6kgs. We bought ours from Retravision in Midland WA for $675. The model # is NLT-19HDB3.
12V is the default setting - they supply an adapter for use in the home on 240V.

We haven't built our Bushtracker yet but we bought this because NEC are only going to produce this model in future with a built-in DVD player, so its days are numbered. According to NEC built-in DVD players will soon be the market norm.

Sound in Motion said that built in DVD players are a 'no no' - they don't cope with the vibration. However, they're happy to fit the exisiting model for us. If you want the sound to go through your ceiling speakers you'll have to get an 'audio out' plug wired in - SIM are happy to do this though I guess it would void the warranty. We find the sound is great so I don't see the point.

NEC are currently 'running out' this model so if you buy before the end of July you'll receive a bonus of 3 free DVD's.

Happy travelling,
