Important - shortest way round Australia

When driving around Australia, make sure that you circum-navigate the continent anti-clockwise, as it's about 900 metres shorter going this way than clockwise.

But if you go anti-clockwise, then all the view points are on the right hand side, so you do more than 900 metres crossing the road.
