Yo Boggers,
We just had 6 weeks away in the Outback....Cameron Corner- Innamincka - Birdsville - Boulia - Mt Isa - Camooweal - Lawn Hill - Burketown and Karumba.

Just a great time and will be back in Karumba same time next year for 5 weeks. While there we met a great crowd of folks who took us fishing in their tinnies and included us in their happy hours etc.

So no we need a Tinnie & Motor and we think we've narrowed it down to a V hull over a V Nose punt as we'll do a mix of Bay and River/Lake boating.

Also we'll need a folding trailer and a roof loader too we guess......so...if anyone in BOG land has this kind of gear surplus to requirements, then let us know the details and we'll go from there.

Cheers all
Rick & Julie

Hi Scott,
Thanks for the response...we're currently working in Armidale for the next 5 weeks and then back to Brisbane for a couple of weeks break and then onto another job in Rockhampton for 2 weeks and then back to Armidale for another 6 weeks work.

Sounds like you've bought another boat and changed everything over....

We're probably looking for a complete outfit if we can find one, but thanks anyway.

Cheers
Rick

Hi Guys,

We had a 3.5m Traveller (v nose punt type) and just changed it over to a 3.75 Dart. We purchased it new from Crew Marine in Redcliffe for $1500 last month. If we had purchsed it in Sydney the best price we could get was $1900 and the other Quinnie dealer to the south of Brisbane wanted about $1750.

We run a 15 hp Yamaha and it goes fine out to the cockle banks in Moreton Bay from Bribie, even when the wind is up a bit. It feels much better than the Traveller, particularly when running into the wind

Hi Rick & Julie,

We have 3.75 Quinnie & 15HP Yamaha very happy with both.

We have "Custom Boat Loader" and "Almac" aluminium trailer and outboard trolly.
Not cheapest but great products.
With remote control I easily load and unload boat by myself.
Custom Boat Loaders and possibly Almac trailers are on web.

Good luck,

Rob.

Thanks Rob,
Member Willie also has a 375 Dart and a 15hp Merc...and he loves it for all round work too.....and says the 15hp is plenty to power it.

Yes, I've been looking at all the web sites.....lot's of good info there too.

Thanks for your info Rob,
Cheers
