Just to let people who have Garmin GPS Navigation units that the the 2009 version of Australian mapping is now available for down loading to upgrade the mapping in your devices.
For those that may also have the TOPO maps, the new 2009 maps are not compatible with the Topo maps on your computer, like they were with previous version.
The full 2009 map download is 268Mb so you will require broadband to down load it.

Do you have alink to the download page? I have been looking around both garmin.com and garmin.com.au but whilst I can find reference to Version 9 update, I can't find where to purchase the download.

When I loaded the mapping program onto my new computer, I mistakenly put in the 2007 maps instead of the 2008 map and when I went to register on line it came up with there is an upgrade available wo0uld you like to download so I did.
Somehow the Garmin system then gave me about 14 days to install it for FREE so I took it. I think it had something to do with putting the old map disk in. I have since tried to load it onto the other Garmin and it would not do it.
