On the way home from Quilpe came across this old pub (dates back to 1908) at Dulacca which is about 100km from E Roma or 40km W from Miles. Cnr Glynne av and Bell st.
Terry is the owners name and he is also a member of the CMCA. Very friendly.
He provides free camping on grass not dirt behind the pub which includes free power, free hot and clean showers, free use of clean toilets, free use of a new washing machine and clothes line, and cheap lunches and other meals. He also sells fresh seafood from the pub as well as reasonably priced wine. Even a compressor to pump up tyres. Once a month he also puts on a seafood smorgasboard and live entertainment for $25 including dessert . The accommodation upstairs looks clean and comfy.
An oasis after 10 days in Birdsville and the dust of Quilpe.
It is in the camps book (590) and worth a stay. Lots of Room for big rigs .Phone and internet available.
