Satellite phone Wanted

We are about to do six months travel and would like the security of a satellite phone. It would seem that a small hand held would be best. Has anyone got one they are not using now and would sell?

We just just a junk mail brochure from Austar.
They have a sat phone/ next G for $1,650- and a strait sat phone for $950 (?)
could be the go
