Has anyone fitted a new Fiamma? Our old one had a crack in it so we have partially fitted a replacement Fiamma. Problem is that the inside hand won't reach to rod for winding it up. The original roof vent had the fly wire and handle on the upper side and the new one has it on the lower side, leaving a gap - but the gap seems even greater as the old vent already had an extra plastic piece in it to reach the rod. It is not long enough nor suitable for using on this vent. Any suggestions will be much appreciated. Thanks

Oh for an edit function!
Second sentence should read: Problem is that the inside handle won't reach to the rod for winding it up.

GB you are horrid. You sound like my son - mention of lambing and he asks is it big enough for his Cobb.

True GB - but some of ours are special. Some we eat when they are much bigger and no longer can be called lambs.

Not quite fencing wire, Mick, but Jim has a combination or metal rod and hose that just may work if i can't get hold of the perfect plastic part.

Just in case anyone else has this problem in the future, CaravansPlus.com.au from whom we purchased the vent have replied that such a part is available.
