Have any other BT owners taken their BT over to Kangaroo Island? Just interested as we got some funny looks when we loaded ours onto the ferry. Yes it was a little expensive but hey, so is accomodation on the Island.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and did a lot of walking....not bad for a couple of fifty plus adventurers. The body developed a few more aches and pains, but good old panadol sorted them out.
This is our first big trip towing the BT and we are thrilled with our set up so far.
Our next stint is from SAto QLD before heading to NT then back to WA and good old Esperance.
Well cherrio for now

cheers

Not much help re KI, except to say several have.
The question we have is re Qld and when and which route? We hope to leave Adelaide mid july to travel via Riverland, Broken Hill, Corner Country, Innamincka, west Qld to dinosaur terrain etc.

Hi Jim and Jude,

Yes we took our van over this year and had a brilliant time. Only spent 11 days on the island.

Our 'looks' came from when we drove on the north side of the island. A car would come in the opposite direction to ourselves, see us and the BT and one after the other would pull so far off the road that they were usually in the bushes. Gosh knows why it was a wide enough road and we were going slowly enough.

Anyway it is a fabulous spot, lots of free camps or cheap camps. And because we took the BT over we were able to stay a lot longer than we could have afforded to do staying in the island accommodation.

Would recommend KI to everyone.

Cheers

Allan and Sharon
