Met a fellow today who has a 2002 F250 with 250,000K on the clock.
He has had very few problems with the truck except he has blown 2 high pressure hoses to the injector pump. Ford Australia replacement part cost is a wopping $980 for a small 30cm hose.
My question is has anyone had this problem and is it worth importing one to carry as a spare?

Graham,
What year is your F250?
Did the hose blow because it was rubbing on something?

Hi all,
Quite surprised at the cost. Can you not have one made by the hose specialists.
such as Pirtec.

I was told he tried that and the thread is an unusual one and it could not be made up locally.

Hi Rosco
With the blown hose situation, could I enquire if the motors had been chipped or does it happen to stock standard F250.
